Jun. 18th, 2008 06:15 pmI am really trying to not blow my top. Really.
We ordered a present for Elliott's half-year birthday, a toy kitchen. The sucker weighed about 80 pounds and FedEx left it in a heap by the back door. The top was opened 90 degrees, parts were spilled out, and there was a dent on one of the pieces (minor, but I bought a new toy).
It's not that it was damaged in shipment, these things happen, but to DELIVER something so obviously damaged is mind boggling. If they had bothered to ring the doorbell (the merchant said to inspect it before accepting it), Barbara could have at least called me, so I could tell her to refuse the shipment. You do not have to accept damaged merchandise.
This is Federal Express. I expected better.
